Think again if you want an enjoyable experience at the Town of Hempstead Island Park Beach. It's not very nice. Just check out one of the bathrooms. Don't even think of being allowed to go on the sand. The philosophy here is" CLOSE THE SAND" and "ENJOY THE BROKEN FACILITIES". Don't you just love paying property taxes? No accountability. Nobody cares.
